Toilet In Abortion Clinic Needed to be Lifted to ‘Get the Fetuses Out of the Pipes’

A witnesstestified in the Gosnell abortion-murder trial that she saw one baby expelled alive into a toilet where it “was like swimming” and “trying to get out.” According to the grand jury report in the case, clinic workers testified that babies often expelled from their mothers into the toilet and that, in at least one instance, the toilet was lifted from the floor to “get the fetuses out of the pipes.”

Abortion Clinic in Brooklyn to Stop Abortions After 22 Years

A Brooklyn, New York-based abortion center will stop doing abortions after 22 years and will reopen as a legitimate medical center offering help to patients rather than death to unborn children.

Msgr. Philip Reilly and the Helpers of God’s Precious Infants, a local pro-life group, have stopped praying outside the Brooklyn Ambulatory Surgery Center in Sunset Park. For the past 22 years, the priest and his devoted pro-life friends have been seeking an end to abortion at the Brooklyn location.  Their prayers have been heard as the new owners of the building have said abortions will no longer take place when it reopens as the New York Center for Specialty Surgery.

The future of Mississippi‘s only clinic where women can get an abortion remains unclear after a federal judge’s ruling in a closely watched court case.

U.S. District Judge Daniel P. Jordan III ruled Friday that a strict abortion law passed by the Republican-controlled legislature can take effect, but he gave the clinic more time to comply with the law‘s requirements and said it won’t face any criminal or civil penalties as it tries to do so.

Mississippi soon could become the only U.S. state without an abortion clinic as a new law takes effect this weekend. Critics say it would force women in one of the country's poorest states to drive hours to obtain a constitutionally protected procedure or carry unwanted pregnancies to term.

Top officials say limiting abortions is exactly what they have in mind.

Republican Gov. Phil Bryant says he wants Mississippi to be "abortion-free." The law takes effect Sunday.
