National Cathedral to host 1st same-sex weddings

National Cathedral to host 1st same-sex weddings

Cathedral officials tell The Associated Press the church will be among the first Episcopal congregations to implement a new rite of marriage for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender members. The church will announce its new policy Wednesday.

As the nation's most prominent church, the decision carries huge symbolism. The 106-year-old cathedral has long been a spiritual center for the nation, hosting presidential inaugural services and funerals for Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford. The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his last sermon there in 1968. The cathedral draws hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.

THIS WILL BE THE CHURCH, THE NATIONAL CATHEDRAL THAT OBAMA CAN ATTEND NOW FOR SUNDAY SERVICE.
SODOMY HAS BEEN LEGISLATED BECOMING PSEUDO-CHRISTIANITY IN AMERICA.
Because the government has approved of such behavior anyone who takes the Bible seriously is intolerant, radical, and a bigot. A believer quoting Scripture in this age of humanistic psychology is accused of hate speech.
Humanism is the deception of the hour and nothing new under the sun ... here's how to guard against it: Colossians 2:8
Your children are watching the deception of their government and following it.
Second amendment is a huge issue to American freedom but mark my words the culture war will blow up bigger than anyone can possibly imagine.
This is an affront to God's Commandments and precepts and morality ... Something our founding fathers said was vital to freedom in a republic.
Is God angry "we report you decide"?!

Anderson Cooper: "The Fact Is, I'm Gay."

Anderson Cooper: "The Fact Is, I'm Gay."

Last week, Entertainment Weekly ran a story on an emerging trend: gay people in public life who come out in a much more restrained and matter-of-fact way than in the past. In many ways, it's a great development: we're evolved enough not to be gob-smacked when we find out someone's gay. But it does matter nonetheless, it seems to me, that this is on the record. We still have pastors calling for the death of gay people, bullying incidents and suicides among gay kids, and one major political party dedicated to ending the basic civil right to marry the person you love. So these "non-events" are still also events of a kind; and they matter. The visibility of gay people is one of the core means for our equality.

TONY DIGIROLAMO- AND OUR RIGHTS AS CHRISTIANS WHO BELIEVE THAT HOMOSEXUALITY IS STILL AN ABOMINATION IS NOW CONSIDERED HATE SPEECH.
Anderson Cooper speaks of God's gift of love, "In my opinion, the ability to love another person is one of God’s greatest gifts, and I thank God every day for enabling me to give and share love with the people in my life."
I'm sorry that our country is struggling to hold on to God's precepts and standards for behavior and it is apparent that Anderson is ignorant of Gods gift of love and direction for life.

What Does Obama's ‘Marriage Equality' Mean for Bisexuals?

What Does Obama's ‘Marriage Equality' Mean for Bisexuals?

President Barack Obama, occupant of the bully pulpit, set aside the past month to celebrate a most peculiar thing.

"Now, each June since I took office," Obama said in a June 15 speech at the White House, "we have gathered to pay tribute to the generations of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans who devoted their lives to our most basic of ideals — equality not just for some, but for all."

Among the places our president said he wanted "equality not just for some, but for all" — that is, presumably, including "bisexuals" — is in the institution of marriage.

TONY DIGIROLAMO- I LOVE THIS QUESTION FROM THE WRITER, "So, who does he believe bisexuals have a "right" to marry?"
This quote from John Adams puts this in a total biblical perspective about our republic:
"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other."

What we have in America now is exactly that, "human passions unbridled by morality and religion". President John Adams told us what would happen otherwise. This, "No government armed with power capable of contending" with it.
