REPORT: ISRAEL STRIKES SYRIA; 'AT LEAST SOME...TAKE RED LINES SERIOUSLY'

Reports in Syrian and international media indicate that early Sunday, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) struck a military research facility on the outskirts of the Syrian capital of Damascus, shaking the city.
The airstrike was the second in three days, after the IAF reportedly attacked a weapons convoy inside Syria carrying Iranian-made long-range missiles to Hezbollah in Lebanon on Friday. Israel has yet to confirm the airstrikes officially.

Today, the Jerusalem Post reports that Israel has agreed to postpone any ground invasion of the Hamas-held Gaza Strip until cease-fire efforts can proceed further. This is a ground shift in Israeli policy with regard to Hamas; Israel has long stated that it will not negotiate with Hamas.
Why would Israel shift its position? It seems clearer and clearer that Israel is receiving behind the scenes pressure from the United States.

They had to vote three times to do it – and they had to lie to deem it passed, even though it was clear that the measure did not pass a voice vote in the chamber. The original 2012 Democratic Party platform had excised all mention of God and Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel.

The Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot published a startling report Monday detailing a message it says was conveyed by the Obama administration – via two European countries – to Iranian officials. The request: if Israel decides to strike Iranian nuclear facilities, the U.S. will not support it and the Islamic Republic should refrain from retaliating on U.S. military installations in the Persian Gulf.
