Pat Robertson built a multimillion dollar empire with the 700 Club, and then inspired conservative Christians nationwide to get involved in politics with the Christian Coalition, changing the history of a section of Christianity who had not been involved with politics at all, but trusted God with the outcomes.
Now he's backing out of politics, for good. In an AP interview, Robertson explained why he won't endorse political candidates any longer:
TONY DIGIROLAMO- IT WOULD PROBABLY BE BETTER JUST TO SPEAK ON VOTING FOR MEN AND WOMEN THAT STAND FIRM IN GODLY PRINCIPLES.
I'M STILL BEWILDERED BY GIULIANI FOR PRESIDENT 2008.
Better to let the candidates make fools of themselves and for my dear friend Pat to stand with the one standing for righteousness.
