LAST year, more active-duty soldiers committed suicide than died in battle. This fact has been reported so often that it has almost lost its jolting force. Almost.

Worse, according to data not reported on until now, the military evidently responded to stress that afflicts soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan primarily by drugging soldiers on the front lines. Data that I have obtained directly from Tricare Management Activity, the division of the Department of Defense that manages health care services for the military, shows that there has been a giant, 682 percent increase in the number of psychoactive drugs — antipsychotics, sedatives, stimulants and mood stabilizers — prescribed to our troops between 2005 and 2011. That’s right. A nearly 700 percent increase — despite a steady reduction in combat troop levels since 2008.

Note that the military uses antipsychotic drugs to treat post-traumatic stress disorder, even though there is but weak evidence that these drugs effectively treat it. A recent randomized, controlled clinical trial involving nearly 300 veterans found that the antipsychotic risperidone was no better than a placebo as an adjunct in treating PTSD.

Planned Parenthood clinics across the country provide young girls with birth control pills, morning-after drugs, IUDs, hormone-delivering injections, the Patch and NuvaRings—and if those fail, help arrange for abortions. Schools can also be birth control providers under the guise of helping girls stay in school and avoid unplanned pregnancies.
There’s plenty of research on the psychological implications of having sex too young. And as Christians we read in the Bible about God’s thoughts on the subject, but has anyone researched the long-term medical complications that can occur in young girls receiving high levels of hormones during puberty? Hormones are not innocent drugs. I learned this by experience.

It's the drugs, prescription drugs! The antidepressant meds is the thread that runs throughout all these stories.

We'll wait again for the coroner's results that James Holmes, the killer, was on Antidepressants. He was the shooter ... but we wait to see if the drug was the trigger.

PSYCHOLOGISTS, PSYCHIATRISTS ARE PSCIENTISTS

Mark Levin on his repeated weekend radio show said to caller, who said, his doctor turned him down for meds ... he said he was Bi-Polar/ADD. The doctor said he was too old to have ADD. Levin said, "you can have ADD as an adult" & get meds.

Why? For a bogus disease from an observable pscience!!

first of all doctors are giving a diagnosis based on what? Behavior.

Based on an understanding that psychologists are trained for. It is unlike anything an MD does ... Yet, they are prescribing medication to someone that might not need these dangerous drugs.

Now, I love Mark Levin and want you to get his new book "Liberty and Tyranny", he is no doubt brilliant in matters I care about.

However, I believe he just showed a spot of ignorance on his part that many Americans frankly share.

There are many people in this culture that are on the antidepressants, psychotropic drugs that give this failure in science worldwide a pass. Many of them are in news, entertainment, law and even in the church.
