MSNBC'S NANCY SNYDERMAN, CATHOLIC BISHOPS AND THE IRS

BY TONY DIGIROLAMO

NEWSBUSTERS.ORG: MSNBC's Nancy Snyderman Lobbies IRS:
Go After Catholic Bishops for Opposing Abortion in Health Care Bill

MSNBC's Nancy Snyderman attacked Catholic bishops on Thursday for opposing abortion funding in the health care bill, agreeing with the President of NOW that the IRS should investigate them. The 'Dr. Nancy' host also complained, 'This is going to be a Pollyannaish statement. The Catholic bishops appearing and having a political voice seems to be a most fundamental violation of church and state.'

Wow! Nancy Snyderman wants to know why the IRS is not going after the Catholic Bishops political stance on abortion in the Health Care bill.
I know why ... the bishops have a right to speak out! It's free speech Nancy ... Hello.

The church, Catholics and Protestants as well, made a vital mistake in thinking that the government can do such a thing ... to tell them that they could not be involved in elections and inform the members that it is against scripture to vote for a candidate that is for abortion and the other social moral issues as well.

We are turning the corner and this tragedy will be made right ... So help me God!

Haven't you ever wondered ... how did our country get so turned off to God? How did we fall for the immorality and incivility we now watch being played out in every aspect of the culture?

The light which always came from the church always kept us a decent and honorable people. The standard of our behavior toward one another come from the mouth of our Lord. "Do to others as you would have them do to you. ... Luke 6:31".

The media have drifted so far from the mark. I've worked in TV for over 40 years I've seen it all.

The first Soap Opera was the "Guiding light" ... its main character was a priest. He was the one that had the answers to all the problems that everyone was getting into.

We've lost that! We've lost our way when a Nancy Snyderman, a news anchor gives hostility to the ones who are trying to get our country back.

The IRS/tax exempt ruling was challenged this year by pastors nationwide and they called attention to what they were about to do in the pulpit this past election ... Yes even the IRS, notified. And look at the results.

Two Republican Governors elected in Blue States. NY 23 a liberal Republican/Rino forced to get out of the race and now it appears to be a contest once again with the vote in question ... the conservative can still pull it off.

Nancy is just misguided, and ignorant about the rights preachers always had and now uncovering that lamp-stand so we can see the Truth ... It will surely set us free.

I couldn't agree with you more, Tony. The church needs to stand up.

I'll never forget watching "On The Waterfront" in the movie theater years ago. When Marlon Brando's young, tough character, Terry Malloy looked at Father Barry, played by Karl Malden and said, "Go to hell", a collective gasp came out of the entire audience.

It was no surprise that Malden's character hauled back a big fist and knocked Brando's Malloy on his duff. Everyone in the theater cheered because the church, symbolized by Malden was not going to take such insolence.

While we don't have to resort to violence, we (the church) nonetheless have to stand up to that which threatens the very core of who we are as Christ-followers. We NEED to stand up for the unborn and declare that life is precious even if laws are made which state otherwise.
