yanks Glenn Beck interview
Christian ministry cites its failure
to alert readers author is Mormon

WORLDNETDAILY- Mormon theology differs from evangelical Christian theology on several major issues, including the understanding of the Trinity, the nature of Jesus Christ and Satan, the process of salvation and which holy books are considered authoritative, among other doctrines.

******* *** *******

CSTV- This is precisely the the problem and I'm sorry but we should not confuse the public to thinking that a Mormon is a Christian. They are not.

Some Mormons actually believe that they are Christians. In religious debates with Mormons at my doorstep, they honestly think that they are, however, the discussion seems to come to an abrupt end with this question: Do you believe that Jesus is the Lord and is one in the same, The Father, Son and Holy Spirit? They cannot agree with that and usually they are on their bikes and almost seem to be fleeing as quickly as they can.

I happen to like Glenn Beck, and I'm glad he's going over to Fox News Channel ... hope too that his show will be successful.

You know, presidential candidate, Mitt Romney had this same difficulty but no one seem to want to mention it.

Romney in his religious speech during the campaign said he was a Christian ... We now know that that did not sit too well with many Christians.

And, as wonderful as the "Christmas Sweater" is, his comment that he wants it to live on as an eternal gospel sends red flags up before my bleeding eyes.

That is another stark difference the Church of Jesus Christ and Later Day Saints have with Christianty ... The Book of Joseph Smith is gospel to Mormons.

Christians believe the Bible is sufficient and believes the commandment at the end of the book that no one should add to it.

  1. You ask the Mormon missionaries at your doorstep: "Do you believe that Jesus is the Lord and is one in the same, The Father, Son and Holy Spirit?"

I'm sure the response is more like this: "we agree that Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit are one in purpose. But not one in substance, and the Bible does NOT teach anywhere they are one in substance, that's a post Bible, sectarian creed.").

If somebody's open to the simple doctrine that the Bible means what it says when it says "Father" and "Son", then we stay, if they want to argue a state-sponsored, non Biblical Creed (the Nicene Creed of the 4th century), then they respectfully exit the conversation.

Why not believe what Bible prophets teach, namely, that:

    * Jesus is the only begotten of God the Father (not the incomprehensible Nicene Creed).
    * Jesus is Deity, the literal Son of God, and the Savior of the world.
    * That He voluntarily died and resurrected Himself 3 days later.
    * That the Holy Ghost will testify of these simple, Biblical truths

What is there to be afraid of in accepting these truths set forth in the Bible so clearly? Why take literal (the "son" or the "father") and make them figurative??

Why must the flock of many a minister be forced to accept confusion and mystery instead of the plainness of Scripture?

Didn't even the Jews expect a different Messiah? For those who want an incomprehensible God, then you will get it and are getting it, by staying in the dark as to the beautiful truth that Jesus is the actual Son of The Eternal Father.

They are two separate Beings, just as you are a separate child of your earthly father, and not one substance.

The Mormon challenge is to THINK on your own, don't just accept at face value the tradition of your fathers or your minister, but SEEK, ASK, KNOCK.

And then go to your knees and ask God in the name of Jesus. He is the One who communicates truth to the soul. Not man, not a book, but the Spirit. Stand on your own feet and KNOW for yourself.

That's the challenge and promise to you.

  2. And here is Glenn Beck's response:

"Whatever your beliefs about my religion, the concept of religious tolerance is too important to be sacrificed in response to pressure from special interest groups, especially when it means bowing to censorship."

Glenn doesn't sound too happy about the situation. I wonder if Dr. Dobson intends to defend himself against Glenn's charge of censorship? Not to mention Glenn's accusation that the article was pulled due to pressure from "special interest groups" ... that doesn't sound like a very friendly description of the folks who persuaded Dr. Dobson to pull Beck off the CitizenLink site.

  3. Underdog2-
I appreciate your comment and willingness to tell us what you think.
I merely made the comment in my blog that Mormonism is not Christianity.
I know many who are of the Mormon faith and they too want to see their country turned back to its Godly, moral foundation.
Again thank you for the comment.
