THE "CHANGELING" STORY AND THE REV THAT CHANGED LA

THE "CHANGELING" STORY AND THE REV THAT CHANGED LA

BY TONY DIGIROLAMO
Every once in a while I'll drop a DVD in my IMac sit back and watch a movie.

Tonight I watched "Changeling" again and I watched it with a deeper understanding of what happened in 1928 when a boy disappeared and a mother whose horror changes her life forever.

I began to realize something about the story and about the church moreover, the churches pastor, the Reverend Breigleb, St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Jefferson Boulevard at Third Avenue, Los Angeles, California. This preacher was a pioneer radio evangelist, the beginning of national religious broadcasting.

In the film I noticed right there on the pulpit, the microphone, the device used to speak to the masses … Radio of all things was changing things. Then I understood the power of a right reverend speaking to Los Angeles, as he put it "once the city they call the city of angels, Los Angeles has become a place where our protecters have become our brutalizers, where to be the law is to be above the law."

You see back then a preacher had the freedom to speak against the government, they could speak out against a corrupt police chief and a mayor who was up for relection and corrupt at all cost.

Dr. Gustav A. Briegleb died on May 20, 1943 he never lived to see his country and the IRS ruling slammed upon the church that changed the freedom that he had in his church. Imagine how the "Changeling" story would have turned out if he didn't feel that freedom that moved him to speak out against the government.

If he had no voice in that time when the government was behaving immorally the only source the people had for information was the freedom of the press. Are you getting my drift? No?

Think of what we have today. The freedom of religion muzzled, the press now an advocate of the government and freedom to assemble by Americans who believe in God, family, and country… are called terrorist by a now corrupt government.

Freedom of religion in the Constitution, 1st Amendment, it is also the very first freedom of all the freedoms.

What Reverend Briegleb did for a woman done wrong by the Government is never attempted by even the most passionate pastor in our time.

Here from the movie "Changeling" is a sample of the preacher played by John Malkovich:

Have you heard such a thing from the pulpit? Have you heard such a thing from the press? What is the government to do then? Crush you like an ant, call you names, and drive your protestations underground.

Tyranny!

It is upon us and we are failing the founders of this grand experiment of Government by the people of the people and for the people.

I believe when the government, the IRS came to call on the church to shut up, yes shut up it rocked the culture into secularism, immorality, homosexuality, abortion and the breakdown of the family.

Chaos is at hand not the Kingdom of God! Not His Commandments and His precepts. Not anymore… Not in America.

Those of you who know me, I've been talking for a long time about the IRS law which created the sounds of silence in the pulpit, from the lips of those who shepherd us into righteousness, right thinking.

This is what government can do, this is what the government is doing now.

I'm pulling a video out of the closet of the web ... my closet:
"TAX EXEMPTION AND THE SOUNDS OF SILENCE IN THE PULPIT"

The decision to muzzle the church was indeed the needed progressive ingredient "It has wrought, it has led, to immorality and a nation grown cold to religion." And, grown cold to God.

Big Government is at hand!

Religion is the target and Christianity has been the hindrance till this day.

How do you like America without God so far? … Yeah.

I thought so.

Well, I've seen the movie "Changeling" ... a pastor is what brought about a change in Christine Collins life and Los Angeles.

A change in the name of the town of Wineville.

We should honor this pioneering radio evangelist who understood his call to watchover the people and lead them in truth.

Christine Collins, a great woman and mother, never let the government have there day.
