The Congressional Black Caucus, Attorney General Eric Holder, the ACLU, and officials from the IRS spoke with hundreds of Pastors in the African-American community at a summit Wednesday on how to participate in the 2012 election.
Prior to the event, the groups said they would not discuss specific support of any one candidate, which would conflict with the churches’ non-profit status, but would brief the community on energizing congregants to vote, protecting a church’s tax exempt status, and taking on “draconian” laws like Voter ID. Considering the mix of political players from the CBC and ACLU with traditionally non-partisan institutions like the Attorney General’s office, IRS and the church, some worried that the discussion could lead to the politicization of the pulpit as a means to reach out to the Democratic base.

After Obama came out agreeing with the Same Sex Marriage Black Christians bolted. Obama cannot allow his base to scatter like this. That's what this is about.
And doesn't this send a chill down your back that they prop up the IRS with this bogus ruling telling pastors what they can and cannot say from the pulpit!

I'm steamed up about this, I've been on this story for a long time.
The IRS in 1947 gave Christians the answer to this question and told the church and pastors that they shall not speak on politics. and in 1954 Sen Lyndon Johnson added to the rule passing a bill saying they shall not endorse candidates period or lose the tax exemption status. And the pastors and priests did not speak and the pulpit was silenced for decades. That is coming to an end. There has never been a church that went to court nor lost their 501c status, none. Law suites never pursued because they know the ruling is unconstitutional and right of free speech. This year that understanding is being realized more now than ever before. Tell your pastors and priests this year to find those men and women that support biblical principles and work hard to get them elected. Tell them they have FREEDOOOOOMMMM!!!
