Barbara Walters apologizes for helping Assad aide



Barbara Walters is apologizing for trying to help a former aide to Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad land a job or get into college in the United States.

Sheherazad Jaafari is the daughter of the Syrian ambassador to the United States and a one-time press aide to Assad. Jaafari played a role in Walters' landing an interview with the Syrian president in December.

Nine years before the shooting in a story done by 20/20 called Death in the Classroom you think that would be a red flag and  great  follow up story  but not for ABC.

Columbine High School was at the vanguard of teaching Death Education in their schools.
ABC did a report on this in 1990, nine years before the Columbine massacre they called it "Death Education in the Classroom".
Hugh Downs, said at the conclusion of the segment, this curriculum is "overly morbid" for children to be exposed to.
