APA APPLAUDS NEW EXECUTIVE ORDERS SIGNALING A FUNDAMENTAL CHANGE IN THE RIGHTS AND TREATMENT OF DETAINEES

AMERICAN PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION- As an association dedicated to human welfare and an accredited non-governmental organization at the United Nations, APA has long held a clear and unequivocal position on human rights, which applies to the treatment of detainees. Specifically, any direct or indirect participation by psychologists in any act of torture or other forms of cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment is unethical and prohibited. Accordingly, APA commends the president's order requiring all U.S. personnel to follow the Army Field Manual when interrogating detainees, which will have the effect of prohibiting waterboarding and other abusive techniques.

CSTV- TONY DIGIROLAMO- Excuse me psychologists have been torturing the American people for decades.

They got us to love ourselves more than all mighty God.

They have been driving people to the narcissistic, selfish, self worshiping, I need to take care of me first, before I can take care of you generation.

As far as I'm concerned President Bush took care of job one for any president when being attacked, and that is to protect and defend the American people from enemies foreign and domestic.

Never attacked again, not once ... by the most despicable foreign enemy ever!

He had plenty of domestic foe unfolding day after day, year after year, Pelosi, Reid, Kennedy, Carter, Obama, and every Democrat candidate for president ... Biden, Clinton, etc, relentless verbal torture.

Wow, talk about narcissistic, here they are folks, the "A" list.

He never got in the gutter with these "honorable" men and women of government in the United States.

The TV News psychologists never asked what all of this abuse by his fellow countrymen might be doing to our president while he was trying to execute his duties as commander in chief.

There were probably many days that George W Bush was on his knees weeping, praying, and hoping for Providential protection for the American people.

Mission Accomplished Mr President ... I think that Abraham Lincoln would be proud.
