Va. Beach church rallies support for eminent domain fight

Religious leaders, church members and concerned citizens met Tuesday to voice their support for historic Emmanuel Episcopal Church in its fight with the City of Va. Beach.

People packed the sanctuary to talk about what the historic church is losing with the City exercising the right of eminent domain.

Bishop Anne Gimenez, the senior pastor of Rock Church International, told the gathering, "The city is taking what belongs to God. This ground (church ground) was dedicated to God."

TONY DIGIROLAMO- THE GOVERNMENT HAS A RIGHT TO DO IT AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T INFRINGE ON SOMEONE ELSE'S RIGHTS...
Particularly a 170 year old Episcopal Church.
This is happening nationwide and we need to take a stand against it.
