The Catholic News Agency reported that on Friday presumptive Republican Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan called the recent "federal mandate that requires most employers to offer health insurance plans that offer contraception, sterilization and abortion-inducing drugs... [an] assault on our religious liberties."
Ryan warned that this “assault on our religious liberties” constitutes “a serious threat to all peoples of faith.”
“It is a violation of the First Amendment of our bill of rights,” he said.
