CNN’S DON LEMON CHALLENGES WASSERMAN SCHULTZ ON DNC’S GOD, ISRAEL PLATFORM CHANGES

CNN’S DON LEMON CHALLENGES WASSERMAN SCHULTZ ON DNC’S GOD, ISRAEL PLATFORM CHANGES

CNN’s Don Lemon interviewed DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Fl.) Saturday night, promising a no-nonsense discussion free of talking points.

The interview began with a debate over whether Schultz was lying or, as she claims, misquoted in her assertion that Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren said Republican policies harm Israel.  Though Lemon seemingly did his best to note that it is hard to claim you are misquoted when you are on tape, Schultz largely talks over Lemon for several minutes.

However, the interview becomes more interesting about five minutes in, as Lemon challenges the notion that all references to God and Jerusalem as the capital of Israel were left out of the 2012 Democratic platform on accident.
