350 million people have depression in world: WHO

More than 350 million people suffer from depression globally, the World Health Organization said, ahead of World Mental Health Day on Wednesday.

"It is not a disease of developed countries, it is a global phenomenon. It's present in both genders and in rich and poor populations," Dr Shekhar Saxena, head of the WHO's mental health and substance abuse department, told reporters in Geneva.

TONY DIGIROLAMO
I'M THINKING OUT OF THE MENTAL HEALTH BOX AND TRUELY BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A SPIRITUAL PROBLEM... A TURNING FROM GOD PROBLEM!
There's a story making news today at Washington.cbs.local.com: Study: One-Third Of Adults Under 30 Have No Religious Affiliation
"One-fifth of American adults have no religious affiliation, and this number is increasing rapidly."
Any connection here? connect the dots?
Bible says "be anxious for nothing" Phillipians 4:6 that is what many are missing who bought into the secular plan driving the nation.
Scripture continues, "But in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."
There in lies the rub. They don't know God, they don't believe in God, thus depression!
Their help is in the greatest self help book of all, the Bible... You and God can rise above any mountain or any struggle before you.
Studys have shown that those who believe in God do handle the stress of life better.
"“We found that religious people or even people who simply believe in the existence of God show significantly less brain activity in relation to their own errors,” said Michael Inzlicht, assistant psychology professor at the University of Toronto, who led the research.
“They’re much less anxious and feel less stressed when they have made an error,” he said."
No silver bullet in a pill but there is a silverling ... in God.
