A MINUTE OF SILENCE: WE ALREADY HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE SILENT

By TONY DIGIROLAMO- We should all be excited that the courts have suddenly come to realize that 1 minute of silence is not the establishment of religion. It has been a gross distortion of the first amendment in the first place ... a stretch indeed.

Here's the story at Worldnetdaily, Public school 'silence' ruled constitutional
1 minute 'is not government endorsement of religion

"A moment of silence is not a government endorsement of religion just because someone might use the time for prayer," said ADF Senior Legal Counsel David Cortman. "No student is compelled to pray under the Texas law. The 5th Circuit was right to uphold the district court's determination that the law is not an establishment of religion."

"A moment of silence" We already have the right to be silent ... not to diminish the ruling, that this was even taken to court is unbelievable to me.

You can't even call this the tip of the iceberg because it is what is beneath the water that is disturbing.

What we believe as Christians will soon become illegal ... right to life, liberty to believe, and to pursue happiness in America, a nation under God.

We are guided by history and our founding fathers who would find this ruling laughable!

No, perhaps they would be saddened by it

Imagine President John Adams, who told us that this nation, a republic, is for a religious people ... it is not for a people unbridled by morality and religion.

He would be blown away by what the schools think of God today and that most of the students would not be praying in their 1 minute of silence. He would tell us that this course is dangerous, and would surely be a hindrance to the blessing of America.

This ruling is only encouraging in that it is a step forward to recover all that we have lost.

All of it!
