Federal Control of Education and the Decline of Community

Detailing the long history of this centralization movement from a few Northeastern States back in the American Founding Era, to present day, we learn that most all of these prior efforts, whatever their intent, pretty much left the locals in control, which meant strong parental involvement, a supportive sense of community, and a healthy resistance to unwanted and unsought after outside controls. Of the latter, he said, this acted as a preserving influence in favor of the balance of power between state and federal, and local and state powers, as guaranteed under our Constitution.
