RUSH LIMBAUGH ON MULTIPLE PERSONALITY DISORDER, IT WAS A HOAX!

Rush Limbaugh today (Monday October 17, 2011) and I only caught the last moments of his monologue and he was talking about the "Disease", "Multiple Personality Disorder" (MPD).

He was beside himself and livid!

Rush said, when the movie of Cybill Shepherd came out, 40,000 new cases of this disorder hit the Shrink market. He exclaimed, "It was a HOAX! A HOAX!!!

Even before it was cool to call psychology dangerous to the church, and the country, "Self Help" books were flying off the shelves, and Oprah discovered Dr Phil, I called it.

At CultureShockTV.com many moons ago, Dr. Paul McHugh, Chief of Psychiatric Department at Johns Hopkins University Medical School, whose special expertise includes critical analysis of multiple personality and false memory phenomena. On 60 Minutes Dr.McHugh stated to Mike Wallace: “ The damage that...multiple personality disorder... did is becoming evident. The approach, the ideas, are waning. It’s gonna be like the Hula Hoop. It’ll be gone."

Where is the apology that all this "science" gone wrong has created. All of this in the last 40 years. We should be doing research on the last 100 years and Sigmund Freud's dream of putting an end to the church and faith in God. Any questions?

Real science right?! More like "Pscience".

Once again this article vital to understanding what his industry calls science posted at CSTV:

PSYCHIATRIC MISADVENTURE

By Dr. Paul R. McHugh
This article is from The AmericanScholar, Autumn 1992
'... During the last seven or eight years, another example of
misidentified hysterical behaviour has surfaced and again has been
bolstered by an invented view of its cause that fits a cultural
fashion. This condition is "multiple personality disorder" (MPD,
as it has come to be abbreviated). The majority of the patients who
eventually receive this diagnosis come to therapists with standard
psychiatric complaints, such as depression or difficulty in
relationships. Some therapists see much more in these symptoms and
suggest to the patient and to others that they represent the subtle
actions of several alternative personalities, or "alters,"
co-existing in the patient's mental life. These suggestions
encourage many patients to see their problems in a fresh and, to
them, remarkably interesting way. Suddenly they are transformed
into odd people with repeated shifts of demeanour and deportment
that they display on command.
Thank you Rush you've made my day!
What happened to those people that were troubled in life and misdiagnosed with this bogus so called disease in the DSM The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
Wikipedia: (DSM) is the American Psychiatric Association's standard reference for psychiatry which includes over 400 different definitions of mental disorders.
400 diseases!
Do you think that a psychologist can't find something wrong with you and call you crazy.
Again at Wikipedia on MPD: There is a great deal of controversy surrounding the topic of DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder). The validity of DID as a medical diagnosis has been questioned, and some researchers have suggested that DID may exist primarily as an iatrogenic adverse effect of therapy. DID is diagnosed significantly more frequently in North America than in the rest of the world.

HELLO!

Other DSM "diseases" out there?

Maybe your simply going through life with moments of dis-ease… that's all.

In our speed of light world today, is that too difficult to get a handle on.

Going back to church that speaks the Truth about the Bible is a good start.

God can handle any of the worldly stresses you might be going through.

You're not crazy, start with that concept.
