When you say 'family channel,' the concept is quite broad to address ages and tastes in a family

A CULTURE SHOCK DOUBLETAKE! MARCH 28, 2002

By Tony DiGirolamo

The ABC television network told us days ago that they would be returning to traditional programming in the Fall. The Hollywood Reporter on March 21st reported in the past several years that the network had "lost its way."Now the the ABC Family Channel beginning their trek into "family entertainment" by trying to define that genre of TVland.

Angel Shapiro, new head of the ABC Family Channel, says this, "When you say 'family channel,' the concept is quite broad to address ages and tastes in a family."
Now, I must say, family, as I have understood that to mean ... the programming is directed to the kids. It is proramming that no matter what show is on at any time slot your child should be able to see it.

Well perhaps Shapiro is talking about all those new definitions to the family ala 21st century, after all this is Disney.

Amazing but the Family Channel under Pat Robertson ran a successful cable network with ratings and a loyal audience. "FAM" was the bottom line and that was the focus that made it a hit.

Do you get the feeling that the ABC Family Channel will be all over the map with their programming, and it will hardly resemble a family network on the cable.

Voila! right on Tony Digirolamo!
These people have a motto for their network, "The Family Channel a Different Kind of Family"! "Heather Has Two Mommys"and the 21st century kind of "Family" ... A very different kind of "family" indeed.
But this is happening because the church has been silent on this matter from the pulpit.
Voila again, our children have been led astray and led to believe that all of this nonsense and sinful behavior is in fact normal.
Sinful!
